Ghost Of A Thousand studio update 21.11.2008 10:16:43 +0000 The Ghost Of A Thousand have been updating fans on the progress of their new album.
The Brighton mob are currently holed up at the Gröndal studio in Stockholm with producer Pelle Gunnerfeldt (The Hives, Refused) working on the the follow up to 2007’s This Is Where The Fight Begins.
"We have been recording the songs as live as we can, concentrating on making the most natural sounding record possible," say the band in an online update. "No click, straight onto tape at this stage, it's all a bit new for us but it's working really well.
We have basically been living in heaven as the studio has the most ridiculous selection of vintage guitars and amps, half of which are actually owned by the Hives.
We've tracked Bright lights, Neptune (a super fast evil hardcore tune that you've not heard yet), Split The Atom (sleazy 1980's post punk), Moved As Mountains (album opener, very fast, very heavy, "super-crazy" as Pelle puts it), Knees, Toes, Teeth (AC/DC done by us basically) and Running On Empty (Our little rock'n'roll masterpiece).
Get it down ya, Have it down ya, Keep it down."

Austrian Death Machine Christmas release 20.11.2008 11:54:24 +0000 Austrian Death Machine - the Arnie-inspired side-project of As I Lay Dying frontman Tim L - have announced a Christmas release.
The A Very Brutal Christmas EP will feature three tracks including a version of Jingle Bells, a cover of Judas Priest's Hell Bent For Leather, and the band's own Get To The Choppa.

P.O.D. - not to split 20.11.2008 11:50:59 +0000 P.O.D. have responded to the online rumours that the band are to go on an indefinite hiatus, following the cancellation of their co-headline tour with Filter.
Frontman Sonny Sandoval has uploaded the following statement:
"There are a lot of rumors flying around right now but please pay no attention to all of that.
Just know that the P.O.D. boys are all good and are looking forward to doing what we do best in South America and wherever opportunities may present themselves in the future.
Thank you for all your love and encouragement as we head out for the next couple weeks. Please keep us, our travels and our families back home in your prayers as we'll be gone through the holiday.
With Thanksgiving around the corner, remember to be thankful for your many blessings and know that we are thankful for you."
Chinese Democracy - now online! 20.11.2008 10:43:7 +0000 Guns N' Roses are now streaming their new album Chinese Democracy in full online.
